C Team BBB Wins Two In a Row

On Jan. 11, the Clarkson-Leigh Patriots were in high spirits as they witnessed their C basketball team defeat the visiting David City Scouts in a 25-12 bout.

Freshman Trey Steffensmeier accumulated a whopping total of 10 points for the team, and freshman Jack Brabec added 6.

 Freshman Jordan Noonan said, “I think we came out fast and did some really good things on both ends of the court, and in the second half we as a whole team really stepped up on defense.”

The Patriots would next go on to host the Lakeview Vikings in a clash a few days later on Thursday, January 14.

Against the Vikings, the team scored 16 points and held the visiting Vikings to 13.  . It was a close game, but the Patriots triumph boosted their record to 2-2 on the season.

In this game, sophomore Kyle Holmberg scored 5 points, while Trey Steffensmeier scored 4 points and recorded 3 steals.

 Boys’ Head Coach Jeff Bachman said, “the C-team boys have really shown some good growth. They are playing hard and getting after it on the defensive end. I am very proud of the growth.”
