The Patriots add another three wins to their record! The volleyball team played Silver Lake, Mead, and Deshler on September 25, at the Hampton Invite at Hampton High School
The Patriots easily defeated Silver Lake in the first game of the day, by winning the first set by 11 points and the second set by 12 points.
Their game against Mead was a lot tougher and had the crowd on the edge of their seats, but the Patriots still pulled through with the win by winning each set by two points, 28-26 and 25-23.
Finally, in the championship game, the Patriots won against Deshler 26-24 and 25-16.
“The Hampton Tournament was a great outing for us!” Head Coach Becky Schneider said. “We played three solid teams who challenged us on different levels, and it was good for us to be able to push through and finish.”
Sophomore Tanyn Larson said, “Going all the way out to Hampton was a long bus ride, but it was worth it in the end. We started the morning off right by defeating Silver Lake. Then, we won against our biggest competition of the day: Mead. We ended the day off by winning the championship against Deshler. Overall, it was a well spent Saturday in Hampton.”
The Patriot record is now 15-1 as of this tournament!
