Junior High VB Team Wraps Up Season!

By: Paige Kurpgeweit, a freshman at Leigh High School

The Clarkson-Leigh Junior High volleyball team had a great season this year, but all good things have to come to an end!

The junior high girls played their first game on September 7th and their final game on October 12.

Throughout the season, they played Madison, Schuyler, Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family, Wisner-Pilger, Lakeview, Twin River, Howells-Dodge, and Stanton. There was an A, B, and C team.  The A team had a winning record.

“Overall, I am extremely pleased with how all the girls progressed, JH coach Seth Cash said.  “My goal for them was to improve from week to week, win games, and have fun while doing it.  I feel we have accomplished just that.  I am proud of the effort all the girls gave, and they all did an excellent job representing Patriot Volleyball!  Go Pats!”

Willow Fernau, an eighth grader at Leigh said, “I had so much fun this season. It was like everyone was one big family and we always had an amazing time together. Can't wait for next year!”
