JHGBB Loses in Humphrey Tourney
The junior high girls’ basketball season is fast and furious. They recently played in a tournament on November 22 in Humphrey. They played two big games against Battle Creek and Wayne. The first game with Battle Creek was a tough one with a score 5-34. The second game they tried their hardest with the score against Wayne 16-36.
Seventh-grade basketball player Syerra Messerlie said, “It was a tough two games, but we worked hard as a team. I love seeing my teammates have positive attitudes even when the times get rough. I wish we had a better outcome, but I can’t wait to see what more the season brings.”
Patriot girls’ basketball coach, Melissa Brabec, “We battled through some tough teams while playing Battle Creek. We came back in the 4th quarter and played much better as a team. While playing Wayne it was good seeing girls making offensive shots while recognizing the speed and intensity of basketball games.”
Good job and good luck to the junior high Patriot girls!
