BBB Struggles Before Break
On December 18th, 20th, and 22nd, the Clarkson-Leigh boys’ basketball team was busy with many different games before the holiday break, matching up against West Point, Howells Dodge, and Lakeview.
On December 18, the boys traveled to West Point-Beemer to play the Cadets. Coming out of the half, the boys were struggling with a score of 20-53. The boys just couldn’t find a good rhythm in this game, unfortunately losing with a final score of 33-78.
On December 20, the Howells-Dodge Jaguars took on the Patriots. Finishing off the first half, the Patriots were down by 14 with a score of 17-31. The boys were able to put a few more in the basket, but it just wasn’t enough, ending the game 49-71.
On December 22nd, the Patriots played the Lakeview Vikings in Leigh. Ending the first half, the Vikings had a big lead on the Patriots, 19-37. Down by 18, the Patriot boys fought to make a comeback, but didn’t have enough momentum, losing the game 44-70.
The Patriot boys will look to get back on track after the Christmas moratorium. With some close losses this first half the season, the boys are 1-7 heading into break.
