GBB Competes at Holiday Tourney

On December 30th and 31st, the Clarkson-Leigh girls’ basketball team faced back-to-back opponents in the 44th Annual Columbus Area Holiday Basketball Tournament played at Scotus Central Catholic High School. To start off the tournament, the Clarkson-Leigh girls faced off with the Scotus Central Catholic girls. 

The Clarkson-Leigh girls’ basketball team started off a little slow against the Shamrocks in the first half, going into halftime down 9 points, 11-20. Although they had a tough first half, Clarkson-Leigh didn’t stop there and continued to battle, ultimately just falling short losing 29-35. 

Recovering after a tough loss, the Clarkson-Leigh girls’ came out ready to play against the Schuyler Warriors. After taking a big lead early, the Patriots ended up winning 60-14. 

This brought the girls’ record to 3-7 heading into the second half of the season.
