Patriots Cage Bulldogs
The Clarkson-Leigh Patriots continued their games of district play by hosting the Humphrey-Lindsay Academy Bulldogs in Clarkson on October 2, 2025. The Patriots entered the game looking to improve on the 2-3 record and stay perfect in district play.
The first quarter was all Patriots as the offense was firing on all cylinders scoring on their first four drives. Stiff coverage from the Patriot defense negated the Bulldog offense.
In the second quarter the Patriot offense kept their intensity up adding another 28 points to the scoreboard. The defense was able to match the intensity with two interceptions coming from Tucker Mattheis and Luke Eisenmann.
The second half came with some younger faces out on the field for the Patriots. This didn’t stop the Patriot offense from being effective. The defense stayed strong, only allowing 18 points in the half.
The Patriot special teams was also punishing the Bulldogs with Easton Brabec returning a kick for a touchdown and the Patriots recovering a fumble on the kickoff.
In a statement win, The Patriots eliminated any hope in Bulldog Cash Hastreiter’s mind, ending the night 78-18.
Senior Luke Eisenmann said, “We played a team game against Humphrey. Coming out strong early allowed a lot of our younger guys to get some good experience.
“We came out fast and aggressive and were able to get on them quick. It was our most complete game to date,” Head Coach Jim Clarkson said, “We look forward to our next opponent and maintaining the same focus and execution.”
