Meet Mr. Connor Blum, Leigh’s New Math Teacher

Leigh Community School staff is ecstatic about welcoming one of its newest high school teachers, Mr. Connor Blum. He is teaching middle school Math.

Mr. Blum started teaching at LCS this year, but he has four years of teaching experience at Clarkson Community Schools prior to coming here. 

            Mr. Blum grew up in Howells, Nebraska, and graduated from Howells-Dodge Consolidated Schools. A fun fact is that Mr. Fischer was his high school basketball coach.

            He later graduated from Wayne State College where he earned his Bachelor's in Elementary Education. 

            Mr. Blum is engaged to his fiancé, Jadyn Johnson.

His hobbies outside of teaching are going golfing, playing basketball, being outdoors, and spending time with my friends and my family. He is also a big sports fan so he enjoys watching Duke basketball, Husker football, and the Seattle Seahawks. 

When Mr. Blum was asked what he was looking forward to the most this year, he said, “I am looking forward to being in a school with a great culture and tradition as well as being able to build relationships with all the students and staff.”

We are excited to have Mr. Blum join Leigh Community Schools this year, and we can’t wait to see what his addition will bring!
