JV Football Opens Season
The Panther Junior Varsity Football Team opened their season 0-2. In these two games, they faced two tough opponents in Stanton and Guardian Angels Central Catholic.
They started the season with a game in Leigh against the Stanton Mustangs. They ended this game suffering a 0-48 loss.
They then traveled to Beemer to face the Guardian Angels Central Catholic Bluejays, where they suffered another hard-fought 0-20 loss.
When asked about the first two games of the season coach Izac Reifenrath said, “The first two games haven't necessarily gone as planned, but we have seen a lot of improvement on both sides of the ball from many people. We have been challenging the JV kids to bring the physical aspect of the game and also to play with more energy. I am proud of the guys for their efforts so far this year and look forward to the next few JV games to finish the year!”
A freshman player from the team, Grayson Loseke said, “We started off a little slow in these two games, so the season started a little rough. But we've shown flashes of what we can do so I’m hopeful for the rest of the season.”
