Kindergarten Roundup a Success!
Launch the media gallery 1 playerLeigh Community Schools hosted Kindergarten Roundup on Friday, April 17, 2026. Students were able to join this year’s Kindergarteners for activities at the end of the school day, and their parents were able to visit the school as well.
There are currently 26 students that will make up next year’s LCS Kindergarten class! They will be split into two classes taught by Mrs. Michkayla Wietfeld and Mrs. Ann Sobota.
Mrs. Wietfeld said, ”Kindergarten Round-Up was a wonderful experience!” It was such a joy getting to know our incoming students, observe a quick glimpse of their current skills, and see their unique personalities shine. Their excitement for starting kindergarten was truly contagious. Mrs. Sobota and I shared a few engaging read-alouds, and the students participated in a fun letter and number hunt, practiced writing their names, and connected with new friends who will be joining our classroom community next year. We are already looking forward to an amazing year ahead!”
