7-12 Spring Music Concert Held

On Monday, April 20, the Leigh High School Spring Concert was held

The Junior High Choir sang “How Far I’ll Go” and “Forever Country.”

The High School Choir sang “The Wellerman” and “Battle of Jerico.”

The Junior High Band performed “On Broadway,” “Do Wah Diddy Diddy,” as well as “Go For It!”

The High School Band performed “Allied Honor” and “The Civil War.”

There were many talented students for the Student Recital as well!

Sydney Messerlie, Vocal Solo, sang “Lass from the Low Countee.”  Kaycee Lange, Clarinet Solo, performed “Chanson Moderne.”  Wyatt Langhorst, baritone solo, performed “Ruby.”

The Sophomore Vocal Quartet consisted of Ariyah Ross, Emily Waterman, Madisyn Lich, and Kaycee Lange singing “Amazing Grace.”

Lexis Gleason, Snare Drum Solo, performed “Little Su.”

The Senior Vocal Quartet, including Sofia Hake, Mia Glissman-Mayner, Elizabeth Hoffman, and Sidney Messerlie, sang “Come to the Music.”

The Trumpet Trio, Brayden Loseke, Blake Loseke, and Cade Hoesly performed “The Trumpet Tune.”

Elizabeth Hoffman and Sydney Messerlie sang “Wayfaring Stranger” as a Vocal Duet.

Music teacher Mrs. Sydney Wemhoff stated, “Our Spring Concert was a success, and I am so proud of the hard work and growth our students showed. The small groups and solo performances were a great opportunity for students to build confidence, showcase their talents, and gain valuable performance experience in front of an audience before contest."

Sophomore choir member Vivian Bunner added, “The concert was beautifully done, and everyone sounded wonderful. The band played amazing songs, and the choir sounded gorgeous!”
